TROUBLE WITH 3-PUTTING?
Mental Tip: It is more important to be decisive than to be correct when preparing to play any golf shot, particularly a putt.
Playing Tip: Nothing adds more unnecessary strokes to your score than 3-putting. Most likely you're having trouble getting your long putts close to the hole. Missing second putts of 5 ft. or longer can really do damage to your confidence. Spend ten minutes working on the 3-footers, doing the 15-in-a-row drill to boost your confidence, then roll some 20 ft. putts and practice getting them within 3 ft. to help with your control.
Rules Tip: Between the play of two holes, the player may practice putting or chipping on or near the putting green last played, as long as it does not unduly delay play. (RULE 7-2)
